My own fall, a little leather, fur, TOM FORD, and propaganda!

With a Purpose.

Marc by Marc Jacobs t shirt, €38
Burberry Brit felt coat, $995
Rag & Bone denim skinny jeans, $165
Matiko low kitten heel, $110
MICHAEL Michael Kors top handle bag, $368
Tom Ford brown sunglasses, €280

Here is my perfect set for fall, its all that i am so obsessed with right now. Burberry trench made of felt wool with a little leather element to it. Very chic and very edgy.

An inexpensive Marc Jacobs shirt with a purpose. There is always a message, so why not wear it?

Colored Denim is Rag&Bone, they have some nice skinny colored denims which make our fall brighter. Intermix has them, I tried it on the other day, it looks good. But I am going to try Rag&Bone store for a better fit.

Oxfords, especially in suede, such a classic.

A little fur to it by Michael Kors, a nice play on textures.

And Classic Tom Ford shades that tons lighter and looks very european. Try Portuguese.

I believe they are good as separates and together. I just love them.

mindfully tough with some leather & patterns

So I was in Target recently, in search of workout gear (no surprise) I had my blue sweat-tech hoodie and wicking capri pants ready then I made it over to the casual wear and outerwear section. I nearly died. The workout stuff long disregarded, I immediately went to the fitting room with these three pieces. The leather moto, the pattern overhead sleeve sweater, well 2 of them.

God its a good price of $40 bucks. So much I could wear it with.

TOUGH. Outsiders should be careful of me. Haha, or better yet I want to join Darry and Ponyboy.

I love the quilted shoulder detail. That is my absolute deciding factor. Moto quilting.

With my sweater....

The sweater with the patterns. Omg. It so smooth when to try it on and very weightless.

Here is a pic from earlier in the week, after my space fall clean up. I found my Calvin Klein Leather Cuff!
Necklace is an old Chanel find. Mother's own but she does not know! Haha.

And thats all for now, til something else shiny or detailed will catch me attention (Irish accent).

Ciao,

Mirror on the Wall, What I do I love most of all?

So far, no wallet. But I have filed reports so lets hope it comes back to me. [urgh!]

Have Midterms for some of my classes coming up. Its so busy and Handbag Designer Meetups are upcoming as well as Comedy Improv meetings.

Yes, I like to be well rounded.

Anyways, back to lighten the mood, here some things I am so loving and they make me happy and excited just thinking about them recently.

So...currently nowadays what I am loving are:

Issey Miyake. The Avantgarde clothing and especially the perfumes. Especially this one:

The Issey Miyakie Eau D'ete Summer Edition 2009.
The smell of freshness of flowers and fruits. The smell of peonies, summers in France, and the market place down by the Terminal. Ahh~ I keep this baby in my bag at all times. When I dont have my The OC Perfume, Donna Karen Cashmere Mist or Bvlgari Rose Essentielle, I have my Issey Miyake Summer 2009 Edition.

Another thing I am loving is:

These Collabs. The Runway Relief Boots at Nine West & Christian Cota x Aldo Barbarito Boots.

Love this Barbarito style. Just my style and goes with anything.

The Runway Relief Boots. I can put money in that pocket and not be pick pocketed again!~
Both are quite high in price but with a little saving I can do it. Not right now due to my wallet being stolen but that's okay. Time to do couch digging for pennies and nickels. *Gurl...*

Also these Coach Cassy Lace up Wedge Booties. I tried them on in Marshalls. The perfect height good color. I have them on hold so I am picking them up by the end of this week.
This is the exact color nice right! Only 100$. Can you believe that deal?

And of course, I am loving Andy, Bravo Andy, Tramona, and the family over at Bravo Tv. They are so funny tweet wise and every time Watch what happens live comes on, the world stops. I have gotten so many replies and a compliment from Tramona the Bravo Turtle Time Turtle. She looks good this week in that pumpkin gig, WERK GURL.

Well, im off again to Jet Set into school and responsibilities.
Ciao lovies!

"Ispirazione" the Fall/Winter Inspiration story

My fall/ winter woah. I find that I dress better for fall and winter sometimes than summer itself. Its crazy! Well anyway, I love a look this like this:
The sweater with the color, very monotone but the play on textures I want to test this time around. Fuzzy sleeves and then a smooth slick leather/ black mate shine leggings (which I ordered a pair of, and am thinking of two more different ones) with lace ups.

From Rebecca Minkoff Fall 2011. The trench material short jacket with leather sleeves, again play on textures and I love the edgier look.

From United Bamboo Fall 2011. Gorgeous long over coat mixing with the plaid patterning dress and love the hosiery to mix in. Looks very chic and casual cool.

From Devil Wears Prada, Love that look of a crested blazer (its by Chanel), the tweed trim, and the leather leggings with leather boots.

Again mixing!
I love the style of the shirt and crew neck sweatshirt.

My jacket, Duffle/ Toggle Coat is really whimsical and loads of fun to have.

Peter pan collar I love!

The leather sleeved gabardine trench. by Burberry

Anorak trench with a lovely button down and denim. Lace up booties would go nicely with this.

There is so much to be inspired by, taking patterns to mix, textures to play with, different genres and articles of clothing to make it a statement, your statement. The magazine is the helper, but you are the ultimate guide and artform.

Wool and Leather. Edgy with new age class

So I have been in love with various plays on textures and materials. I love the lace and wool coat I have been seeing by Jason Wu. The Leather and Trench look by Burberry. Also Helmut Lang has the same thing.

This jacket is Wool and Leather. Got it at Forever 21, luckily they had my size in stock. I just love the leather sleeves. Just that edge to take the outfit from plain to gorgeous.
H&M has a nice one with leather pockets, I want to get it. Just gotta call around or look around Manhattan and Brooklyn to see.

Well here is my outfit that I am going to wear when the time gets cold. So the first cold day of this week or next week, this is the outfit for it.

Jacket: Wool with Leatherette Sleeves by Forever 21
Top: H&M
Jeans: Mossimo Premium Skinny
Bag: Clutch/ Crossbody by Tory Burch
Socks: Vintage

I love this Tory Burch piece, so nice and small yet the gold details all over make it classic. I also have this pair of socks, a nice pop of color, like an homage to 60s.

A closer look at the blouse and jacket.

Love this blouse, have not worn it yet. New for about 1 month in my closet. The lace neckline, the scrunch detailing on the top and then the bottom is flowy lines. Then the arm is seethroughish. Makes the belly pudge, less visible LOL
Shoes to go with this probably my biker boot or ladylike oxfords, can go either way. Such a versatile jacket, dress up or down with trousers or jeans.

Tuesday - Scarves!

Song of the day: I Believe in You by Niki Haris

So, its my motivation Tuesday where I decide to get things done and actually do. This song I put in this post for a reason, this song has a strong message that I believe all will enjoy and find their inspiration and motivation from. That strive to do good is not easy but I believe we can all achieve that mindset. :) Little by little....

And on another note, what im loving the various scarves for the winter, such as ruffled, frayed, straight line, colored, classic black, and plaids. Various styles and patterns are going to rule this fall I bet.

Can you imagine a black wool peacoat with a Burberry signature scarf except its in the navy blue with white and red stripes.

Or a White coat with a lovely multicolored scarf, like one from Missoni or some unknown brand but its good quality material.

I believe scarves are another freedom of expression amongst people who have clothing that either they like or do not like. The scarf is a free material that whatever color or style you like, you can almost pair it with anything. Sometimes you see the business man walking down 43rd street and Madison ave with his pinstripe suit but then a lovely red or checkered scarf adons his neck.

Such a freedom and art form that we sometimes do not take into account!

Excuse me, while I scour my wallet for a new scarf (purchase this semester's expensive textbooks *shaking my head*)

NYFW Updates and A little Rag.

So above is my favorite picture which showed from last season's New York Fashion Week from Rag & Bone. Dont you guys just love the line and bold line effects. The hosiery socks with the bold streak do remind you of old time suspenders?

Its just very revolutionary. Along with a coat that has fur sleeves and geometric lines? SCORE.

Well, New York Fashion Week I again remind you guys is coming up. With IFB Conference, the Blogger's Night Out, Fashion's Night Out, and other events.

Make sure you get your fall goodies and Fashion out!!

They are in my dreams.... Top 10 Fall Must Haves

The fall is almost around the corner, are you ready? The Top 10 fall must haves I believe every person must have.

1) Booties

I present to you, the ever beautiful Ginevra Booties by Tory Burch.

This is one of my staple pieces for the fall. Im trying to obtain it through Nordstrom Rack for a good price of $199. Not bad right? The material is a good Suedish-leather with the studding layer finished off with wooden cork bottoms. The heel is about 1-1/2 to 2 inches, nothing much to walk in.

I could easily run in them, catch butterflies with them, and strut down the subway steps without tumbling over.

For some reason, can you imagine a toggle coat with it?

2) Toggle Coats

Im going to purchase one of these for myself. This one is a Dorothy Perkins Toggle Coat (UK). I love the faux fur collar and the contrasting pulls with little fur balls on the ends. Looks very cozy.

Retails for about $150. So about 75-80 pounds in GBP.

3) The Classic Trench

Or another type of coat for the fall that is very neat is the Trench.

This is by Burberry London, I believe they do the best trenches if you have the money for it. This one retails for $1,195 at Net-a-porter

A cheaper trench for only $50 dollars is the Target Merona Trench. Im thinking of buying it in a navy and beige color. $100 dollars for both and they have rain repellent material. SCORE!

This one (the photo) is at Target online now in petites for 18 dollars. Sale time ladies. HERE.

4) Bashful Crops

The classic crop pants. Not flared or long, but just right at the ankle. They go great with booties, loafers, flats, and sneakers. Very 50s esque to me.

You can get boyfriend style, loose, skinny, or fitted style.

I love these Boyfriend Chino Crops at Banana Republic. Now on sale for $49.99 here.

You can tuck in the shirt or tuck out. Wear with a lovely floral tunic to make a statement or a flashy black shirt from Zara. Anything.

I stocked up on two pairs from H&M, A black and a beige.

5) Messenger/ Satchel Style Bags

These have been getting extremely popular, everyone has one but now the fall needs them. You need to keep tons of stuff in them, have good quality, and look good.

I love this one by Fossil, The Vintage Reissue Bag. In stores, not sure. But you can find some on ebay. From Prices ranging from $40 to $120. Originally a $128 USD bag. Not available on Fossil.com, check Ebay.

6) Jewel tone & Earthy Tone & Fur Clothing

This is what I have been seeing with many brands across their Fall 2011 collections, from Fendi to Gucci to Derek Lam.

The many shades of brown to deep red and beautiful heather greys. These are what make up fall, they are basics but can be so lux if you know how to do it well.

Here is a look from Gucci.

7) Knits and Bits of Peter Pan

From Marie Claire to the streets of Milan, im seeing people wearing cable knit sweaters, striped sweaters and tons more sweaters with a lovely peter pan collar effect to it.

Here is a look from Louis Vuitton:

And.....my favorite photo. Love this style of the Peter pan collar. Blazers go well with it too. Make sure they are a little tailored, best effect for the Peter.

Another pic, of the knits. Long sleeve or long length. Knits are super cozy and can be super neat when accessorized to your comfort.

The view from Tommy Hilfiger..

8) Statement Bracelets

These I have been seeing pop up from summer to fall and in magazines. They make the outfit more artsy and make your arms feel pretty cool. I dont know about you but whenever I wear bracelets such as cuffs or bangles, I feel empowered.

This one is from Chanel.

Called the Black Forest Cuff, Price Unknown, call boutique to find out.

And then this baby, a lesser price by Alexis Bittar.

Gunmetal Pave Hinged Horseshoe Cuff. $195 at Intermix (you can get it at IntermixOnline

9) Exotic-print Bags

They are lux, amazing, and are truly fall styles. I have my two exotic croc print messenger bags. It gives a polished finish to an outfit and that desired foreign classy look.

Rebecca Minkoff does it well. Notice my Zebra bag in the past few postings making her appearance.

This is the Rebecca Minkoff Zebra Calf Hair Rumour Crossbody, I own this one! Its $275. Get it here.

And another Rebecca Minkoff favorite of mine, which Im saving up for..is the Proposal Quilted Bag. Get it here for $295.

And lastly at..

10) Maxi Skirts

These babies have been coasting over the summer on many people, now to lose the dress for fall but take up the maxi skirts. I know you all love those maxi with the solid on the top and the see through towards the bottom. There is just something about the flowy material and freeness of it. No constrictions of pants? Go girl.

Here is the double layer see through favorite. by Robert Rodriguez. Get at Intermix, Preorder for $265 here.

And then a cheaper alternative, a jersey one. Can be folded into your weekend bag without the hassle. Splendid Jersey Maxi Skirt at $85 here at Intermix.

Well there you have it folks. Such dynamic pieces for this fall arent they? I cant wait to test and find my niche within them. Ciao!

Daylight come and me want to go out!

Yes its true. I am officially making over my room, and what way to celebrate than to go to the vintage places to celebrate the new beginning. Also College begins again in a week. Time to go out as much as possible.

Mum found this Coach. I quite love it. I snuck it for myself out of her stash of bags!

Lucky this new baby of mine, has a coach key chain on it already. I mean I see people customize their bags but I never bothered with it, now Im starting to see the whole business behind it. I am warming up to accessorizing...

Here is a new baby, bought from Ebay. Lucky I won I the auction. My very first Celine Bag Tote. :) I envision walking down Riverside Drive to meet up with a friend with this one. Then taking the Bus downtown to 54th street and the west side.

My other loves who are now starting to see wear, are my favorite activewear gears. Exercise Capris. These are a bit skin tight, so you feel light and can do more. I cant wait to use em. This is the Boston Marathon Adidas Gear. In celebration of the Boston Marathon 2011.

My other new beauty...My new Tory Burch bag. 3rd Tory Burch bag I have to myself. She will start to see daylight too. Just got her in the mail today.

Random photo for the masses, who believe clearwater pearls are not fashionable.

Pics from yesterday when I went to Brooklyn to my Aunt's lovely abode.

I did not take much. But I had to take a pic of the Minkoff Crossbody to my Croc inspired Messenger Bag.

And Finally.... I found my clear glass so I decided to carry it so we could all try on the Terry Richardson esque glasses. Quite neat right?

time for me to actually go out, dinner out in Long Beach. I shall carry my new Tory Burch this time, since she has been dying to see light.
