Beeh Day - First Week of August + NYCC/ NYAF Updates

So,the first week of August is coming to an end soon. Parents getting their children ready, people enjoy the beach, going to shopping sprees, sample sales, and check out the latest and hottest movies.

Those movies being ( what I have not seen yet) :
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2
- Cowboys and Aliens
- Captain America
- Rise of the Planet of the Apes
- Horrible Bosses (only for Charlie Day I would watch)

Dying to see them and fawning over them.

Been working on scripts and pieces, and trying to relax doing just that. I start sophomore year of university last week of August. Lucky me.

But I'm glad to say that I have signed up and submitted registration into the Editorial Press for New York Comic Con/ New York Anime Festival. I'm pretty excited for this year.

BTW, NYCC/NYAF is being held this October 13-16, 2011. Mark into your calendars (not into your Death Note Books please, we dont want trouble that day.)

Hopefully, it wont be as confusing as last time was and a little bit better with crowd control. I cant wait to hear the latest news, the newest products, and meet new people. Its always nice.

Plus to go back to the Artist Alley and chat with old pals you chatted with before many comic cons ago.

One person I am looking forward to seeing again is Brian Kong. Dude is amazing. Check out his website at Brian Kong

But anyways, im have my cosplay, I will not dress up all three (or should I say four) days. Maybe I will dress the Saturday.
Sundays I don't usually go, but maybe I will. I know from experience its mostly for the Kiddies but it doesn't hurt to see the Sunday festivities.

But for this year, im excited. The Guests to be there the list is promising:

= Hiro Mashima (Best Known for: Rave Master and Fairy Tail)

= Junko Takeuchi (Best known for: Naruto Uzumaki's Seiyuu, Gon Freecss in Hunter x Hunter and Gomamon in Digimon)

= of course, Lou Ferrigno (Best known for Hulk) with his damn 30 dollars a piece, autograph booth which I will never succumb to. Hasnt work these past 3 years Lou. Nobody is lining up. Giveaway tickets to specific booths like seriously.

= Adam Kubert/ Andy Kubert

= Jason Mewes / Kevin Smith (we all know Jay and Silent Bob!)

= Frank Miller!! (300, Sin City, Ronin, and Batman : Dark Knight~)

Wow. :) Talk about a killing. Plus there are more people that they are going to announce. Excitement is kicking in.

Now if the Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia cast were to come, id die on the spot. From so much Charlie WORK!!!!

Haha, had to do that. Well anyways, on the fitness side, Im on Turbo Fire Week 5. Insanity Week 3. Im surviving, im panting for water and atmospheree.

On the fashion note, I wish I make more uses of my Ann Taylor Loft shorts. Been working on my legs. green shorts with what? Suggestions? Its greener than the picture and around the same militia kinda style. I normally wear my vintage tees, but i want to mix it up.

Recap of Saturday's NYAF/NYCC Festivites

I will definitely upload pics later but I cant find the cord! Dang it.

Woke up 8am, had problems at the post office then headed over the big 'ol city for the big 'ol Javitz Center. Decided to walk it though, instead of getting on a full bus. More breeze through the hair and people watching yay!

Reached there and immediately met with my set of buddies. Got another sample of tissues for signing up for a free month of Japanese lessons and more vitamin water.

One thing I truly noticed about this year was the record amount of people that showed up just for Saturday alone. I understand that Saturday is huger than Friday and Sunday combined. But I digress...

There is was not that much free-swag this year. Everything was a pay-as-you-go deal.
Went to a Japanese Airline panel where I saw.... :O

Guess........ its Kanon! In person! I was standing next to him as he was walking to the next room for the next press conference panel about what is new in his music. YUM.

A lot of panels going on. One for a very important announcement between Stan Lee & Yoshiki of X-Japan fame.

I never got to go to much panels because I spent time at booths buying missing parts to my costume, DOMO HOODIE!, comic book, dvds, and just having a great chat with booth organizers. They are the only ones who I believe came readily on guard!

DC comics Luncheon, DC talent search, viewings, Minori Chihara concert (which I could not bother with and whatever), other outdoor concerts this year up at the Roseland Ballroom for Boom Boom Satellites, X-Japan, Puffy Ami Yumi, VAMPS, and a few others! AMAZING.

The amount of people made it congested after a while. The only thing about this year it felt unorganized and felt many in confusion.

I wearing the Press Badge, had many folks come upto me asking where was: food, the bathroom, press office, IGN theater, Panel rooms, the Masquerade, my life.

LOL I had to add in "my life", I guess that one is for me.

I dressed up as Soi Fong, 2nd Division Captain, from Bleach. Sans the hair, I made it too curly, I looked like Shirley Temple on drugs. (LMAO!) I stayed all day until 7:30 I said, "Line for Masquerade is too long, forget that..." Went up. Curled up in blanket and thought of tmrw. I did not get to go tomorrow again, boo I missed Sunday!

Other than that I loved the idea of bringing them together. But please organize it better.

Other than that I had a great time and can not wait for next year again.

P.S.-- Stan Lee & Yoshiki are coming up with a musicial comic book hero series which will also be visual as well as technological. Two legends coming together = great success.

ReCap of Friday at NYCC NYAF 2010

I did not get anytime there at all just to be clear people. I got a few photos, ill post them at the end of tmrw.

I still got my cosplay ready for tomorrow. Soi Fon from Bleach. If you see me, say hello, and do not be shy.

If you see free hugs and high-fives then do not be shy either! They all love you! :)

But anyway, I went to the Press Office, HUGE HUGE DEAL of a line. Seriously I spent 15 minutes in the lne but got FREE vitamin water! :) SUCCESS. Got the badge.

I had class at 3:40 pm, I look at clock....2:15pm. SHIT.

Made a move upstairs with my buddies, they separated as I had to leave soon. So I stopped by 2 booths. One with a fantastic artist who builds sculptures and figurines out of lego pieces. I got two amazing photos, Ill show it later! But he let me build a staircase...well....4 small floors. LOL (Gotta look up his name..I forget!)

Then I went to this booth about a new comic idea called Green Chip. Superhero who fights against a mad scientist and "beautiful but deadly woman named Virus". So clever. I will definitely take a picture of the coaster I got from the booth. "Chip Drinks" indeed.

Then it was 2:45! OMG, and I had to get to class in a mad rush. M34 to 2 other trains. Oh man.

Class was a bore when I reached. He kept discussing the same idea and everyone was falling asleep. But NO ONE is ever at my college on a friday! LUCKY ME.

I rushed back to the con only to see packing up! I managed to get a sword. Muahaha. Strike. Score!

Hopefully Saturday will be better. Going from 9:30-10 am to 9pm-10pm. Gotta Werqq it.

P.S.- The comic con side seemed dead. -.-

NYCC & NYAF is upon us! --WHAT TO EXPECT

Today later on at 1 pm starts the amazing NY Comic Con & NY Anime Festival begins.

Expect a huge crowd, the McDonalds an avenue back to be full with the workers like WTF or "they have their yearly convention shit again", LONG LINES, ANY MENTION OF STAN LEE start with someone crying or going into his life history, THE JAPANESE POP STARS AND ROCK STARS HAVE ARRIVED IN NEW YORK so that means CONCERTS CONCERTS and more Concerts (YES!), Free SWAG and big ass bags to carry around, a lot of cosplay, lots of photo flashes (courtesy of everyone including me!), Yoshiki OMG, Sort of expensive food inside the con, BATHROOM LINES to be a little long at either bathrooms available, and panels & screenings with celebrities, artists, and guests of honor.

I hope that list does not scare you but makes you feel anxious. Please I hope so.

My part is always taken every year at these festivals and conventions, I love going, I love to cosplay, I love free swag, awesome food, meeting creators, cosplayers, anime watchers, manga & comic readers, and writers as myself.

This year again, I will be apart of the PRESS (yay) doing my usual thing, interviews, photo stills (when not prohibited - thanks MCh), and videos (when possible), my Nikon has not come back from the repairs, so I will be using my G1 phone which is awesome for all of these. I just gotta remember to bring a charger!

I SIFTED through THOUSANDS of emails about PR and invites and other enjoyable make-aware to come and check out things at our spot. So I complied a list of all of them and see If I can go to all of them because they seem interesting like the Seth Green & M Night Shamalayan & Stan Lee meetings. How cool.

I hear Stan Lee & legendary Yoshiki is due to make an announcement about something together. EPIC. Imagine if they said "We love comics and anime and you guys!" THEN that would be like".....okay....thanks for making us people wait in line for an hour for this but its the thought that counts"

I can not help but think of the people there at 6:30 am for the special tickets today Friday and the same again for tmrw Saturday. Minori Chihara signing you need a special tickets, forget that I need sleep. SLEEP please. This also reminds me of New York Comic Con year before last, when everyone ran on Saturday to the back to get into another line for Stan Lee tickets. The one guy that almost fell over, im sorry.

Anyways back to current:

I will cosplay as.........Soi Fon 2nd Division Captain from Bleach on Saturday, so look out for that. On Sunday I probably will go as her again or my Kung-Fu master costume inspired by Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. Today Friday i am just mellowed by wearing my Ichigo Bankai Vizard mask and normal clothes.

Yeah, I would have went all out today but i am leaving that for Saturday but the main reason is I only have 1 hour to spend there today and then come back there at 5pm because college means you have a class always at some time. In my case class starts at 3:30 pm and ends at 5 pm. -_- BUZZER BORING!

Well, enough of my babble, farewell and until later with highlights and such good day fellow Beehs.

--Kaye Beeh

BTW: TODAY AT THE CON/ FESTIVAL since both are epic to go to on the same weekend with the same ticket!

ROBOT CHICKEN VIEWING, DC TALENT SEARCH, Marvel vs Capcom 3 reveal!, and Disney fall preview. I can not wait honestly. These are going to be HUGE.
