Fitness Resolutions 2012

So, I am not going to make a long huge list of impossible feats for 2012. My fitness was hard this 2011 up until August.

2012 is a new year for so much potential. I would really love to continue with my love of fitness and possible take on races now through NYRR. I volunteer already so why not race, I am always looking into 5ks but never follow through. Id like to make 2012 a little about Running and Jogging.

You know train and the way its so grueling and when it comes race day you have a competition against others and with yourself to do the best you can and what you trained to do. Also that rush after you finish the race, they it the "after race glow". Cute!

But I also want to catch up on my Exhale Core Fusion and Nalini Method Classes. I really need to go back to them and do em.

Maybe get into some dance over at Alvin Ailey Extension. I am interested in Beginner Ballet and Horton's Technique.

Plus maybe attempt some classes at CKO Kickboxing and try a Crossfit session. I am just so pumped with energy and a renewed spirit to push and get it done.

The possibilities are endless, just keep moving.
I shall document more of my fitness escapades in addition to my entertainment, personal adventures, and love of fashion on this blog. SO GET READDY.

P.S.- HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE EVERYBODY. MAY ALL YOUR DREAMS AND WISHES COME TRUE FOR THE NEXT YEAR. MUCH LOVE.

Core Fusion Class with Mr. Fred Devito

As I was walking through the corridor to get to the class, i kinda stopped because I saw Fred Devito in the doorway greeting everyone! :O

I was so excited and ready to do a class with him as my teacher. So yeah I mentioned my first class with him ever and how im the twitter-talker. XD Too funny and he is such a cool dude seriously.

Class was full, it was Core Fusion Open. So no sport or cardio, no deaths today :o)

Well for the class, we did a ton of stuff. Worked the arms to exhaustion. The Thighs and gluteals to quivering, and the abs to strengthening & a relaxing stretch at the end to feel great about what we accomplished.

So throughout the whole class I wore my Heart Rate Monitor and my calories burned was 701. Haha, thank you for a great workout Fred!

The best part was the flat back/ round back section. :) My feet came off the floor for parallels and turnouts. Lately, my feet have been off the floor, which Im truly excited about! YUSH!

But man, Fred's choice of music for the whole class was all of my absolute favorites the ever talented late Mr. Michael Jackson MJ and the relaxation was Bob Marley and reggae songs at the end.

Plus the occasional jokes made the whole experience fun.

Im definitely taking more classes with Fred as a teacher. Really pushes me to my limits in a good way.

(haha, in the end I asked him if I would die in Core Fusion Sport. :P But im glad I got the answer I did: no deaths, but try it.)

Exhale NYC Mind-Body Spa - Core Fusion

Well you have all heard of the Exhale Core Fusion dvds, which I love and have been doing for two weeks. But there is tangible spas around the country, and just in new york there are about 4 locations with 1 being for residentials only via Manhattan House.

Yesterday (Sat may 8th) I went to the Central Park South location for my 7 day transformation 1 week unlimited membership. And boy was it lovely. The atmosphere is just right, nothing stressful and all gendered alike. There is an area for spa treatments, nail treatments, a little replenishment of teas, clothing to buy like workout clothing, womens and mens changing rooms with high tech-like lockers, showers, a steam room, and their own products for cleansing and hair alike.

I took a core fusion basic class but missed yoga that morning but any who, i felt a little lost so I talked to some staff members and other students there and everyone was so relaxed and helpful. You get into class and you bring your little towel and start working immediately with weights and all. It was a true total body workout. The legs, upper body, and core all worked simultaneously. The instructor pushes you in a good way and is very positive towards you. Personally, I liked my instructor alot! (Thank you Marnie!) Then the stretches after each section was sooo great and felt good. It was about an hour and some minutes long. After class, you can climb up these series of connecting bars and just hang and stretch out after that hard work.

The Stall Bar from which I hang for a nice elongating stretch.

Then after you shower and blah blah, feel refreshed.

When Fitness Magazine said Exhale is one of the best Spa like gyms. I agree 10000000%. I definitely see myself pay for packages of classes, pay for singles, and then purchase membership this fall. (Thats my plan of execution)

So visit Exhale Mind Body Spa as soon as you can!

(Next Week Ill be doing Yoga with them for the first time, along with another core fusion basic and another class, so stay tuned)

Ciao! :)
