Chanel Fall 2012 Show #PFW

This was one of favorite Chanel Runway shows. This was even more creative than the Chanel Fall 2010 Furry and Flurry Fest.

It showcased this momma and her little boy with his own little Chanel Bag, how cute is that. Plus check out the clothes, these you can more so wear! I love her coat especially, must be warm cozy, fashionable, and you can wear these with anything!

Some looks from the show. It has Dark fun mysterious undertones with an Alien Outerspace feel to it.
This reminds me of the cyper punk era, which apparently my mind still lives in. The long coat with the play on textures and many color swatches is genious for a homage to the past with futuristic space influences.

I believe all of the clothing and bags featured in the show are going to be a success. I want two of the coats and one bag I saw in the show omg!

NYFW Day 4 & 5

The looks from those days were stunning, all of what we need for fall.

Y-3: My favorite look, youd look like a count be chic but yet sporty at the same time. I love this sort of look and I love the way he paired it off with sneakers. I want this whole thing.

Derek Lam: Prints and Leather = GOLD. Also look at the collar, mixture heaven.

Preen: Pretty and warm colors. Just look at the pattern and color blocking on the sleeves of that shirt, sometimes you need just that in an outfit.

Beautiful Lela Rose: All printed and the modern woman gray dress is underneath, what a fashionable touch. Check out the ankle socks with the heels. (Gossip Girl circa 1944 anyone?)

And a little Moncler (Grenoble): I loved the scene that they held it at the Skating Rink Wollman at Central Park. Nice to show the clothing, something exciting every year. Remember the flash mob in Grand Central a season past. This outfit it the ultimate winter outfit. You can bundle up and look like Grace Kelly taking a trip to the Swiss Alps.

NYFW Day 2 & Day 3 ~ Solid as a rock

So this type time around on days 2 and 3, im seeing some quite exotic ideas and some that are just plain "alright" but what the fk? You know what I mean?

I loved this look from Jill Stuart.
Very Subtle but the pop of pattern in the shirt really makes this a lot of fun for a younger girl. This has a 90s feel. The way the jacket ties at the top or the piece on her neck is quite "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". Love it.

This piece from Herve Leger was very noteworthy. It spurred what the heck on all levels. I quite liked the trapese artist with warrior princess feel but it felt too much in mixture with the patterns. Though I am a sucker for avant garde, avant not is more like it.

The makeup from Christian Siriano was quite a statement! Loved the black lip and the overall subdued gauche. This play on texture is quite lovely to see. Can you imagine being seen wearing this on the subway? It screams "Mess with me and see what happens!"

And of course Christian ends with a lovely series of his amazing dress and gown designs. I love this because it reminds me of a catwoman mentality.

The cuts and trims at Jason Wu is beautiful. So structural and architecturally done. I quite liked it. MY favorite look from it. The lady in red can now kick your ass.

Alexander Wang: My best friend in the whole wide world! I love the play on textures once again, (common theme now!) and the mouth cover. Very avant and quite sadistic at the same time. I love this jacket, just something about it screams wear me. Interesting piece to have into the closet yes? I can imagine deep purple pants pants and black loafers ,can you? The woman within unleashed! I mean some of it is ok, but some pieces i quite loved.

Rebecca Minkoff I always love to see the effortless chic, the young girl doing a mini chignon quickly and throws on a gorgeous patterned shirt with a textured pants and her heels. Plus I love the Minkoff bags, im a sucker for them.

Pretty Suno down by Milk Studios #MADE. The pretty patterns alights the light in my life. Those pants with a white shirt and black flip flops, with my Rebecca Minkoff Zebra Bag. I need it for the summer. Effortless.

And Lastly a little Rag&Bone. Gorgeous elongation of the already tall model. She looks amazing and bright. and those leggings pairing with the drapping throw sweater is GOLD. Snow BUNNY be jealous.

What I really love this season is the backdrops and the space that the designers use to show their lines in. Give such an amazing atmosphere for the clothing. You envision yourself doing the catwalk too right? I cant blame.

Day 4 im ready!

New York Fashion Week Mix UP

So, I have not been able to complete my electromagnetic spectrum of review each and every single show like I planned but I did manage some and that was my ultimate goal. Here Im going to do a brief showcase of the others that did not get that special treatment, but does not mean that they werent important at all.

I just never found the time due to fall semester courses beginning to take full effect in my life.

So I have got a couple of photos from Cynthia Rowley, DVF, Y-3, Anna Sui, Altuzarra, Thakoon, and Zac Posen (whom im surprised at!)

Remember Im posting pics of my favorites from each show!

Altuzarra Looks for Spring 2012
He brings such an edge for the Spring. Black is definitely not of limits. Its like tropical prints in trims and in very interesting shapes on the body. And tons of detail!

Cynthia Rowley's Looks for Spring 2012
Very shiny. A very glam spring with tons of color, prim waists and designs to go all around.

DVF's Looks for this Spring 2012
A beautiful simplicity Yellows and whites in all the right places.

Lela Rose's Spring 2012!
Water color, nudes, and colors basics. I love the blocking in this. A very neat collection for the Spring. The tailoring and the way the clothing fits the women in it I was so happy about! I was raving on and on about this collection after I saw it. Thanks Krupp.

Thakoon's Spring 2012
A very East meets Western show. It look like tons of fun to do. Makes the Spring seem like screw the simplicity lets go crazy.

Derek Lam's Spring 2012
A very clean collection with sprigs of color, reminded me of The Row but with colors and different shapes and jackets to play with. Nothing was off limits. Especially this jacket with the right amount of zippers, now I have a pocket for everything on my top!

Y-3 Spring 2012 Looks
Sporty chic and cool as always. I dont need to be serious, just look good and be smart and the rest will come. Can you imagine doning one of these in Soho and just walking around taking a stroll, no constrictions you feel so breezy and relaxed w/o the need of denim or dresses.

Zac Posen Spring 2012 Looks
Old Glam. He could design a theatre curtain and it would look so majestic, its wonderful. No wonder our favorite Mad Men actress, Christina Hendricks went with that number a while back. No words can describe Zac Posen.

Anna Sui's Spring 2012 Looks
The ever wonderful magical world of Anna Sui I liked this time around. Such a pleasure to view the intricate details of the prints that swirl around a woman's clothing in her show. Each piece tells a story that I want to live the rest of my life.
The amount of shorts this time around I enjoyed.

Tory Burch Spring 2012 Looks
40s cool chic is in. Makes my spring look like im showy and the need for conservative was in at Tory.

New York Fashion Week was a blast, I had 4 shows to see this time around, a big step up and more wonderful brands I never saw before that I had the chance to see. Krupp Group I thank for the opportunity and it is so amazing the process that it takes and the effort of all to make the shows so wonderfully done as how they are.

The staff of Mercedes Benz, the 7th crew, volunteers, PR groups, designers, magazines, CFDA, and the show goers, amazing time this year.

It came like a storm and now we are left in the calm.
