Google + Fashion ......HMMMM.

With this in mind, I now have license to put a picture of my ICON Linda Evangelista in my favorite collection which is a print ad for Prada Fall/Winter 2011

Tis true, Google is anting up in the poker game. They recently bought the space boutiques.com and are trying their winning hand at an online fashion site. Its for online shopping not only boutiques but fashion as inspired or worn by celebrities and icons for sale.

They are making this announcement tomorrow at their High Tech Fuses with High Fashion New York event. I would love to go and let you guys know more but I really want to know myself! :D

They decided this idea when they saw the inspiration and the will to do better from Ebay's own 'Fashion Vault' idea.

Not bad. Technoology and Fashion strikes together again! Bloggers and eMags are here to stay.

The Fantasy of Sophie Elgort

Recently, well actually I got tickets to go to a Sophie Elgort hosted photo event party, but could not go. I recently found to love her ideals of photography and how she manages her own style and elements to taking photos. The way she grasps the task and focuses on the individual.

She does portraits, fashion, lifestyle, and mens photography.

All of the elements are extremely amazing. You can check her website www.sophieelgort.com , her amazing work and blog. I know I always check for new things at least once a week or once every two weeks as updated.

She is based here in NYC and I have been to the Aliomi launch event recently she is affiliated with. I hope to get the absolute privilege to meet with her for a possible interview or take a shot with her.

For now,

(P.S. - when you look on her site, check out under men's photography, the photo of the man doing a handstand and the other one with a dancer elegance pose..they are amazing!!)

Homage to Lanphear

Here is a couple of pictures of my favorite and idolicious Elle Style Director (Fmr Senior Fashion Director and Fashion Director) Kate Lanphear.

Her style is always noticable and always fashionable no matter what anyone says. Even during New York Fashion week and other fashion week, she is seen and HEARD. :)

The legendary Kate. I want her clothes so bad. :P Id say my style is mix between her, rocking , classic, japanese influence, and Beavis and Butt-head 90s esque.
Haha, laugh all you want but I still express myself no matter what. :)

Oh her jackets.....dripping with awesomeness.

Dark colors I love and truly are the best.

The Stacy London and Stylists?!

Yes, the news is true. Stacy London of What not to wear fame, is collaborating with friend Cindy McLaughlin to launch a business called Style for Hire. Where you are stylists looking for jobs to style under her business or are looking for a stylist in your area.

According to WWD, Style for Hire is launching on September 13th with the hopes of turning the business into a national resource for personal stylists in cities including New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, and San Francisco.

According to London, they will start with 15 stylists and expect it to reach 2,000 to 3,000 in the network. For the first 15, she shall handpick and the services will be $100 an hour.

Yes a while ago, I myself wanted a stylist, sure for special events, but not everyday. I dress myself indeed, personal style obviously.

But the business looks like it might be successful. :)

Lady Gaga and the Brits

Here is the photo of the recently released British Vanity Fair September cover as the one and only Lady Gaga on the cover.

The cover designed in gray and light white hues is gorgeous and phenomenal. She is clothing-less and has a 70s vibe to it. Her light colored hair is breathing taking along with the matching makeup being minimal and her jewelled choker.

Obviously the stylist, the photographer, and makeup artist all came to work that day and did their job.

Thanks for a wonderful looking cover.

I can not wait to see Lady Gaga on the cover of i-D.

Tyra Banks is launching again.

Tyra Banks is lauching a new website that she said, "I'm very excited about all the fantastic videos, how-to's, photos, mobile apps, quizzes, interviews, and articles".

To me, it sounds like a girls-only zone which girls can go onto this website for advice, fun, and fashion.

If can launch the fun The Tyra Show then this new website will be a daily destination for a lot of people.
For more information, look onto her New Website entry on her website.

Spring Anthem --2010 is calling, they want their lives back!

Spring cleaning has come up and I apparently got rid of a nice few bunch of things that a) do not fit anymore , b) I gravely say "am I stupid and what was I thinking" or c) "I was not sober" Haha on the sober one, I do not drink at all. ironic. But tender spring is in air, love has begun as all people around me are sitting closer than normal, flirty dresses come out but my flirty goods are all either edgy or dark colored. Forgive my "whatever" attitude though, I love florals but Id rather do it my way like this..

Florals are still here but one trend that a little too flossy...is lingerie..?

When I told meh mum about knickers being out and about, I got scorned for If I ever did something like that...well too late. I attempted a floral Liberty of London night top with jeans and a blazer...it did work until that day it started to rain.
And thats how I will end it. PERIOD.

Hehe but the anthem of spring is fun, cool, edge, new leaf, new beginning, hope, inspiration, ambitious & forbidden. Yes, forbidden in lingerie and other antics such as the sweatpant trend I have been hearing about. Mr. Alexander Wang does it well and its a edgy chic style but normal heather Grey without any type of good tailoring and non-gym like. Guess again.

But I will stay that those Alexander Wang Spring 2010 cutout gym socks are quite the eye turner, I ordered my pair and Im desperately waiting for them. :P

Until again lovies,

Kaye.

New Model : Karina Tsuyoshi gives us the dirt!

I recently interviewed new upcoming model Karina Tsuyoshi (Wilhemina) to gives us the dirt on where she likes to hang whenever she is in NYC and her hobbies! :) I like this girl personally, she is down to earth and has good hygiene <3 [Also her magazine creditability includes: segment in RUSSH japan, In style korea, nadesico & non-no magazine.]

BA: So Karina welcome, how have you been?

KT: Great. I have been sooo busy. Just finished an editorial for a magazine, though I can not tell you whom its for!

BA: Ahhh, thats sucks, I was so looking forward to getting juicy details.

KT: Shhh, well I can its a digital design magazine :P

BA: Yay, details! Anyways, your based here in NYC. What do you like to do for fun around our humble parts?

KT: To say humble would be an understatement!

BA: I know! I know! (Haha)

KT: Well for starters, I love to go to this place to read manga novels and other such books called Manga Cafe Atom.

BA: I have been there before, it rocks!

KT: (smiles) Great! I also like to go to this place called Cafe Zaiya to eat.

BA: They have good pastries.

KT: Haha, Im deciding if I like theres or Magnolia Bakery.

BA: Okay so where do you like to shop and get music?

KT: Well for shopping, its all over. Especially Bergdorf Goodman I love the lower level beauty products ,and I like going to Soho and East Village, so many vintage and dated stuff I like to collect and wear.

BA: Hmm, we all love a little vintage though it could run on the pricy side sometimes.

KT: Housing Works is the best honestly. Oh, yeah for my music I would have to go out of NYC and into Brooklyn, around Park Slope and Williamsburg.

BA: Ahh cool! Well, one more important question before we end this love affair.

KT: Sure, shoot.

BA: Do you know about April Fools?

KT: Yes.....why?

BA: HAPPY APRIL FOOLS MY READERS! ENJOY KARINA TSUYOSHI, because she will be hitting the runway markey soon as she is signed to a new agency.

Obssession with Polyvore and drream like sequences to live on...

Yeah so lately, I have become obssessed with Polyvore. I sometimes use it for withdrawal from not having my favorite fashion magazines, so I could create my own make believe magazine editorial. Funny right? Haha, but I also use it for inspirations for my outfits throughout the days and weeks. I like to first set a theme, for example I pick a city and look at other street style blogs for there, then look at the landscapes, and architectural structures..then I get to work.

Then all of the magic begins, thus these photos and creations of thoughts I have.

So get your creative juices flowing and be a good noodle and head over to Polyvore for a great time. Trust me, I have lost track of time sometimes whenever I am designing outfits.

Personal Favorite :D love it!
I admit, I am addicted to Blair Waldorf's stlye, so she inspired this number.

Blair Waldorf would be proud.
Personal Favorite again! :D luv luv luv

Sophistication of the 20s, 30s, 40s with the occasional trench coat.

I love the variations of a trench coat. The mixture of colors, the aesthetic of any outfit you can wear it with, the textures, and the history behind them.

Whenever I think trenchcoat, I think of its users of mystery, sophistication, edgy, and of class.

One of my favorite movies, Breakfast at Tiffanys, there is a scene where she is wearing a trench coat and a scene where she is staring into the window. The lux nature of the scene always brings me to a chill and Im left breathing and grasping for more.

But I myself, like to think im Holly Golighty anytime I go somewhere wearing my Zara trench coat. Sophistication, air of mystery and class.
The famous kissing scene, it would nice to be wearing the trench coat and getting a kiss in the rain!

A Dash of Fur for you. Faux fur of course.

Today I have been wanting to do this new posting about Furs, which have been very prominent on the Fall/Winter 2010-2011 runways from New York Fashion Week to Paris Fashion Week. Im just amazed at the varieties of fur that comes along and the different looks and feels which can be variated into any outfit for any type of girl. Though the fur look is edgy, euro-tastic, lux, and glam gorgeous.

For your fur, faux get it now as it will last a lifetime.
